A delicious, easy to make ice cream with all of the flavors you'd expect when you're sitting down to enjoy a nice cup of chai with your favorite biscuits!
Servings: 12 servings
- 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ cup half & half
- 1 tablespoon black tea loose leaf
- ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
- pinch salt
- 10 tea biscuits or graham crackers
Heat half & half, loose leaf tea and cardamom in a small saucepan. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat, strain the tea from the half & half and set aside the half and half to cool completely.
Crush the tea biscuits into crumbs and set aside.
Whip the heavy whipping cream with a mixer on medium-high speed until firm peaks form, about 2 minutes. Add vanilla extract and salt and whip again for about 20 seconds to incorporate.
Add the condensed milk and tea-steeped half & half. Beat with the electric mixer for another 1 to 2 minutes until combined. Use a rubber spatula to fold in the tea biscuit crumbs stirring until combined.
Pour into a 9-by-5-by-3-inch loaf pan, or any 6 cup freeze-able container and freeze for about 5 hours.
Serve with additional cookie crumbs if desired!
